Book, film or TV?

Six original questions. Choose one answer per question; scores are not saved. Comparisons are teaching examples, not new production claims.

1. A passage in the novel describes an obstacle. What does that establish?
2. You cannot find a book scene in the released film. What should you check first?
3. A trailer shows a doorway. What can you safely say?
4. A reader hopes for a longer classroom scene. Which label fits?
5. A screen scene combines two book conversations. What is the useful comparison?
6. What confirms that an imagined TV scene actually aired?

Answer key and explanations
  1. A book detail. A book passage establishes book context. It does not establish the content of an unreleased adaptation.
  2. Compare the book passage with the film. Compare the published book and released film directly. A film omission is not a television announcement.
  3. The doorway is visible in that trailer. Visible trailer evidence supports a description of the shot, not its episode placement or final editing.
  4. Fan wish. A preference is a fan wish, even when it is based on a favourite passage.
  5. How the change affects character and pace. Compare the storytelling purpose and effect. This is a hypothetical exercise, not a claim about the new series.
  6. The released episode itself. Use the released episode and its credits for claims about what aired. Predictions remain separate.
